Think Like an Engineer

Help & support

Getting started
Choose a spark on Today or browse Library. Make a prediction before the explanation. Wrong turns are part of the learning process. Use Lab for adjustable experiments; videos also have descriptive transcripts.

Saving your work
Drafts save automatically when you pause typing or leave the activity. If a save fails, the app shows a message and a Retry saving button. Keep the app open and retry before leaving. Notebook entries can be edited without repeating a challenge.

Reviews
Today may suggest a fresh context two calendar days after you first explore a habit, then another seven days after that review. Missed days have no penalty. Everything in Library remains available.

Offline video
Videos are included with the app and need no connection. Start playback with the native play control. Captions are visible within the video and a descriptive transcript is available underneath. Reading the transcript is an equal way to complete the demonstration.

Backing up and exporting
Use Notebook or Settings to export your notes. Ordinary iPhone backups depend on your device settings. There is no automatic sync between devices. Recovery exports include saved activity data and may contain private reflections.

Recovery
If the app cannot read saved data, it preserves the files and offers recovery export and retry. A verified previous save can be restored automatically. Erasing local data is permanent for this app and cannot restore unsaved work.

Reminders
Choose a time in Settings, then tap Enable or Update. Changing the picker alone does not change a scheduled reminder. If notifications are denied, enable them in iPhone Settings. Learning activities do not depend on notification permission.

Beta feedback
During TestFlight testing, use Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight. Include the activity title, what you expected, what happened, and your iOS version. Avoid sharing private reflections.

Contact
